Well I must admit, since 2009 I was a PES player but when PES 2010 was released I converted to the FIFA brand and I haven't gone back yet. Every year EA sports seem to make the game play even more realistic and FIFA 12 is no exception. I only play FIFA for their online game play. Don't get me wrong, playing against the CPU is fun however, becomes too predictable after a while. You can still play the usual head to head, team play and virtual pro as in FIFA 11. The only difference if that they have added a season mode which is great. You start in div 10 and play around 12 games in a season. You play different people who are in the same league and are a similar level to you. You aim is to get to x amount points within 12 games to get promoted. You also need to reach a minimum threshold of points to stay in that division or you get relegated. This makes playing online more fun that you could need 3 points from the last game to get promoted or 1 point to avoid relegation. In this mode, you pick you team and tactics before it searches for an opponent and you only play teams that is a similar star level to yours (most of the time people are Real Madrid if you choose a 5 star team). You can't play with guests in this mode however you can on the normal head to head games. Overall, I believe it's much an improvement the game play has a few minor tweaks but easy to pick up and play straight from FIFA 11.
