Advantages: Just like the real thing

Disadvantages: Uses 2006 drivers

Formula One takes you onto the track and allows you to race for Championship glory as your favourite formula drivers. This was one of the first releases for the PS3 and sadly they have failed to produce a newer version. This version is from the 2006 season and contains some teams that aren't even around anymore.

Apart from this game being slightly outdated it is a fantastic game. I am not really a fan of the racing game gene but I do love Fornula One. If like me you simply enjoy watching the grand prix on a Sunday and think to yourself "I could do that" then you'll buy this game like I did.

The realism of the game is as close to the real thing you can get unless you actually become a Formula 1 driver. All the track are perfectly detailed and are all the real distance and layout. There are 2 main objectives of the game, the first being simply pick your favourite driver and compete to win the championship by winning all races. There is also a carrer mode where you are signed up by a team and as you improve and progress through your career you are able to move onto bigger and better things.

The game as a whole is excellent although it can be time consuming as you are able to race real-time and simply completing a grand prix can take as long as the real thing.

The only complaint is that it is out dated but if you arent bother by that then this is an excellent game.

Summary: Out of date in terms of drivers but still a very good game
