Advantages: Amazing graphics and audio. Superb gameplay & control system. Well thought out game & menu design

Disadvantages: None

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is the first version of the Gran Turismo franchise to be released on the PS3 and is a sign of what is to come in the upcoming Gran Turismo 5 full release.
I am not like many of the other Gran Turismo players in that this is the first of the games I have played so can't comment on the comparison between this and previous versions but as a stand alone game I have been very impressed. This is a game where you have to race to earn money and use the money to purchase improved cars so that you can keep up with your rivals as you progress to higher levels within the game and at the start of the game you will feel that this is a slow racing game but this is as you are using slower cars and the game is good in the respect that as you move onto faster cars you actually feel that these are faster. Even with the slower cars you are impressed with the graphics and the handling of the cars is well designed as well as if you take a corner at a wrong angle then you will come out of the corner slower (this will take some getting used to).
Overall you get used to the control system quickly and the game has graphics that are truly brilliant and envelope you into the experience helped along with the fantastic audio. All in all this is game that is a prologue and only a taster of what is still to come but this game stands up well as a stand alone title on the PS3.

Summary: A great look into the future of racing games on the PS3 but also a magnificent game on its own
