Advantages: Instrument controllers feel great, especially drums

Disadvantages: Set list may not be to everyones liking

Guitar hero World Tour is the next step in the music/rhythm game category. Previous Guitar Hero games have only ever utilized a guitar controller, World Tour comes bundled with a guitar, microphone and drum controllers. Getting your friends round or playing with your family can be immense fun.

Yes the band thing has been done before with Rock Band but World Tour has it's advantages over MTV's offering. The World Tour drum controller has two raised symbols, which may not sound like much, but in my opinion adds to the realism of the game. Having two symbols also means that World Tour has an extra drum pad in comparision to rock band which I think adds to the immersion. All of the controllers feel well crafted and the drums specifically feel like they can take a pounding.

As far as the set-list of songs goes, this is why this review gets four stars instead of five. In my opinion the set list is weaker than those of previous games. I believe that this is because the songs were picked on the basis that they should be fun for everyone to play. So in conclusion, Guitar Hero World Tour is best played with friends/family.

Summary: The best game in it's genre and the best Guitar Hero Game to date
