Advantages: something you can do in a moment of desperate boredom

Disadvantages: you'll want to scream after you realise what you paid for this crap

After playing guitar hero world tour i was disapointed and, after paying for it, had nothing left but my own unhappiness. This game is guitar hero's awful attempt of trying to out do rockband and be renown once more. Of course guitar hero was great, the first three times they did it, but when rockband came out guitar hero became an embarrassment.

In this guitar hero game they tried to regain there dignity by adding the drums and mic, exactly the same as rock band, however to make this game seem better you would at least thing they would have a great playlist. Well as i played through the songs, switching between instruments, they just seemed to get worse and worse and even more unheard of. The other people playing alongside me thought no different. Honestly there is 86 songs on this game and there were only about 20 that i liked and even that is me being generous.

The only small point on this game, which makes it different, is that you can write your own songs. However i wouldnt use this as an excuse to buy it. You can make a song but you can only use about 7 notes to make it because there arent any more buttons on a guitar hero guitar. The same applies for the drums. To add to this, even thought guitar hero: world tour now uses a mic, it wont let you add lyrics to the song. So all you can do is have 7 notes on a guitar with a drum beat. Pointless really!

I understand that there are most likely people with different views towards this game but personally i would advise you to buy rockband 1+2 rather than waste your money on this desperate game and company. You'll be much happier in the end.

thanks for reading xD

Summary: acceptable as an inferior game

lol, I don't think it was that bad but I think they're releasing sequels way too quickly to try to cash in.. that's all game companies seem to enjoy doing these days and sadly they begin to kill off their series that way. well maybe the future games will make up for it. great review!
