Legends of War is a video game primarily backed by the History Channel. Because of this, the unit representation of military units during WWII is pretty authentic. Now, onto the game play itself, it is turn-based combat. The movement system is slightly confusing, but more so is the actual combat part, with line of sight often being confused, and the turn-based game play a little slow and repetitive.
However, you can easily plan your attack on the enemy, the planning of tactics is quite well done. The game itself is quite a cheap game to get, it is not exactly terrible, but it is not the best turn-based game out there.
However, the clever utilization of a WWII theme is quite original and unique, as most turn-based games are either futuristic or focused on ancient history, not modern history.
To me, this alone make Legends of War a unique game that is not expensive, so it wouldn't hurt to pick a copy up, even if it is just to rent.
