Advantages: Graphics, Story & Gameplay

Disadvantages: Small Jumping Problem

inFamous is a Playstation 3 exclusive title. In the game, you can free roam while you try to save the city. You have gained super-powers, that involve using electricity to gain different powers to save the city from the various gangs that have taken over the game after a big explosion. You then have a choice, you can choose to take an evil path, or help out the citizens. This provides a great choice, and has extra game play with different options for both paths.

You have a big range of powers, including shockwave, static thrusters or an electric shield. These are very exciting to use and provide a great thrill as you blast an enemy. These can then be levelled up to make them more powerful. This can be a bit annoying, as you can only get XP by completing missions or killing enemies. This can take a long time and can become boring.

The controls are very easy to use, and they don't take very long to learn. You gain new powers gradually, giving you plenty of time to get used to their strength.

A great feature of inFamous is the good and evil system. You get different choices throughout the game, where you can choose to do something good (Ex. Save People) or something evil (Ex. Save Yourself). This is very fun and adds and extra element to the game. You can play through the game twice, once on each path as they provide different game play, with either the citizens loving you or hating you. However, the enemies still hate you.

The game has three different difficulties and these are very good, providing fun for the casual or avid gamer.

The open world style is very fun, with the opportunities to go around killing enemies. However, as you progress through the missions it can get rather boring with certain parts blocked off. If you go into these parts, you will be overwhelmed with enemies, until you complete a mission to restore power to the area and send them running.

The story isn't very good at the beginning but comes together at the end, to become very interesting and gripping you until the end, to become one of the best stories I have ever seen in a game. The story is very long and provides lots of interesting game play that will keep you playing for a very long time.

The missions are very varied and very interesting although they sometimes are very similar. There are also lots of side missions to complete, but these can sometimes become boring as they are similar but are are thankfully very short. The boss battles are fantastic and add an extra twists, they are a bit hard but still be completed by the casual gamer.

The graphics are very good, some of the best I have seen on the Playstation 3. The sound quality is also very good, with crisp clear sound.

The trophies are easy to collect but need two playthroughs so this can take quite along time. However, this experience will be very fun, so it is worth it. Also, to collect the blast shards, you need to go around the city collecting these blue objects, there are 350, which can become very boring, quite quickly. These are pretty much needed to keep your health up to a good level as you come up against harder enemies. Again, you can go back to each island and collect them again after you complete the game.

However, the game does have one problem. As you jump, you grab the nearest thing to the character. This isn't very good as you will grab other objects and this is very annoying as you try to get away from enemies.

Overall, a fantastic experience, with great graphics. The game is very long and can keep you entertained, with one of the best experiences on the PS3. The game can be completed by everyone and is a must own for every PS3 owner.

Summary: A must own game.
