Lair is an embarrassing game that's all the more a failure because it was widely touted as a possible "killer app" before its release, with a demo displaying its apparently superb visuals and gameplay. I've played a lot of poor games in my time, but the PS3 has had a pretty low quotient of bad ones, yet this is without a doubt the worst of the bunch yet. Firstly, the visuals you saw in the demo are out the window, and instead we get murky graphics that overdo the motion blur in an attempt to distract you from how the visuals aren't up the standard we were promised. This game is fun but however there is something lacking within the game and I think that is variety. You play as a medievel knight and its a typical hack and slash kinda game, which is fun at first but soon wears out. The main idea is that you and then your dragon go around killing and defeating the enemy army etc, there is a storyline but to be honest I did not play enough to the game to go into that. the graphics on this game are quite sweet for a fairly early ps3 game, and this is a ps3 exclusive as well, we need more of those. But still the game plays well and there are not many graphical flaws within, and glitches were sorted out in some the game updates ... Read the complete review
