This is a strange game from pandemic, whilst being mildly fun and quite addictive it really is a poor game. Stuck in two worlds about where to go with this review! Firstly the game, its the newest lord of the rings game out and it follows many of the major battles throughout all of the books. Taking the same sort of gameplay style as the star wars games it is all out attack! You can choose to be a scout; a smaller character that can turn invisible and backstab or stand and fight with two daggers, an archer; quite explanatory, a mage; magical sort of like gandalf or my favourite, the good old swordsman fighting foot to food wielding a huge sword! Have too many games of Lord of the Rings games already been created? Is there anything else left in the gaming market? Lord of the Rings: Conquest is without doubt an undemanding game to get through though the creation of the battlefields, based on the movies, must be appreciated. While not as life-size as they should be, there are enough of the original creations to bring back good memories from the films and books. Playing the Game In all areas of the game you fight with one of four classes, the ... Read the complete review

Lord of the Rings games have always been a little bit hit and miss, but one thing that they tend to have in common is that they concentrate on the action sequences that the movie did so well, and Lord of the Rings Conquest is no exception to this trend. As with past Lord of the Rings games on consoles, Conquest sees you controlling a single character and attempting to fight your way through an endless path of enemies in true heroic fashion. And like the past games, there is certainly a lot of fun to be had here. Variety is added by playing as one of four basic classes; warrior, archer, scout and mage, each with different attacks, strengths, and weaknesses. ... Read the complete review
