Madden 09 is back and after some disappointing years I finally felt that this game lived upto its name.
I put the game in and the first thing the game offered me was to play a session in which I did some of the standard game moves in order for Madden to set this game to a difficulty level that is exactly right for your gaming needs which I simply loved and think all games should offer as a standard. Once you are beyond this and click to get into the actual gameplay itself you have amazing visuals and audio effects that are a major step forward for an american football game.
The control system feels right and I was impressed with how re-active this game was in relation to movement of the sticks as well as the clicking of the buttons.
I would say to those looking and thinking I would love to try it but don't understand the tactics etc to not worry about this as at each play you can ask Madden and the game will suggest the best play for you to use so this is not an area you need to worry about at all.
The gameplay is stunning and with such a great control system anyone can have a go. The graphics and audio and overall presentation make this a simply amazing offering that you just have to try to believe.

Summary: A great game with the depth to backup the glossy outer presentation package
