Advantages: uncomparable gameplay, story, graphics

Disadvantages: minor camera problems, a bit of confusion with the story

Never have I been left in such awe by a game before. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is truly a masterpiece of a game, if there has ever been one. Sure, you may say that you have heard such claims made about games before, but I assure you, with 15 years of gaming on my belt, and only at 19, I truly believe it is the greatest game ever made.

Gameplay? You choose how you want to play, from the stealthy tactical espionage action, to the more straight forward shoot em ups, blast-your-way-through trigger happy gameplay. I, of course, preferred the latter.

Story? If you are a fan of the previous installments of the Metal Gear Solid saga, you know what to expect. If you are unfamiliar, then prepare for a roller coaster of emotion, betrayals, twists and turns in the conclusion to a story spanning over 40 years.

Graphics? No other game has ever looked this good. Another bold claim, yes, but no other game has pushed the PS3's capabilities as this game has: it filled an entire blu ray. Not to bring up the competition, but a certain other system we shall name "x" would have used 12 DVDs to support the game. Mighty are the PS3 and MGS4 indeed.

To conclude, although there are some minor issues such as camera control and the at-times convoluted story, these are insignificant to the sheer awesome phenomenon that is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This is a must for any video game fan.

Summary: Absolutely amazing: truly a videogame masterpiece.
