A free download of Motorstorm is available on the Playstation Network, which of course I tried out as soon as I got my new PS3. The free trial only provides two vehicles and one track, but this was enough to get me to buy the game.

Gameplay: I'm terrible at racing games, so I find this one quite hard. However, the fun of the racing is never lost, even when I get frustrated at losing all the time - sometimes, the crazy jumps and crashes are all I need to unwind.
The choice of between different vehicles of the same type doesn't seem to make much of a difference, but racing different vehicle types on different parts of the same course is exhilarating.

Graphics: Spectacular. The mud effects, the vehicles, the other racers all combine to a visual feast that can't be bettered. No problems whatsoever on my 38 inch hi-def TV.

Sound: The soundtrack on this game is a fantastic mix of Metal and R&B, with a good proportion of mainstream tracks. It sets the mood for each race perfectly.
