... there is a nice balance. No ridiculous lock on d, you can blow right by it, this returned in 2k9, but in 2k8 clever play meant no scoring, ridiculous. In this game, good offense out does defense. Which is a nice reward. For once. On defensive end, there are some issues, it becomes hard to get stops, but running some different tactics like trapping etc can seriously help your game.

I just reviewed 2k10 and 2k8. In my 2k8 review I told everyone to stay away and play this one. I started playing this series after NBA lives cock up of live 06, I thought 05 was okay. However, 2k7 blew my mind which how much better it was. The gameplay is, in every respect, what a basketball game should be. Offensively and defensively there is a nice balance. No ridiculous lock on d, you can blow right by it, this returned in 2k9, but in 2k8 clever play meant no scoring, ridiculous. In this game, good offense out does defense. Which is a nice reward.
