EA Sports have long been known for their market leading sporting games across all fields imaginable and with the high definition, next generation consoles they have found themselves in a dreamland of technical abilities but did they put this to use in NHL 08?
The game is an ice hockey game for the next generation console and the next generation of gamers. The game is as you would expect with EA Sports and their experiences very well put together and designed to allow users to navigate screens simply and quickly. What then of once you are in the game?
The game itself is simply stunning in its presentation standards with amazing graphics and sound quality that stands well now 2 years on which in the age of gaming we are in is quite some achievement. For me the presentation is one which helps to draw you into the entire ice hockey experience as this is a professional game which works hard to develoop an amazing buzz inside the arena through music and song which thankfully is captured excellently in this game.
An excellent control system which is simple to get used to but will take time to master helps to make an excellent game with a great deal of playability. I am not the worlds biggest fan of ice hockey but do love the games on the consoles and with this offering my expectations have once again been met and surpassed.
Well worth a punt for those interested in new gaming experiences and with this available fairly cheap online now I would highly recommend it to anyone.
