Pro Evolution Soccer has held onto the title of best football game round for a number of years now but since the arrival of the current generation of consoles its grasp has been slipping to some degree. It for me is still the best football game but as every year goes by I find myself craving more from Konami, the current game is no exception, it delivers yes, but not to the level I want. It is still the best football experience on console delivering quick flowing fun gameplay but keeping it realistic enough to keep me challenged, the graphics arent anything flash and the commentary is still awful. The problem with PES is that though still a great game very much like the earlier ones it isnt evolving at a fast enough rate and the designers need to pull their fingers out, if this doesnt happen in the next version of the game then I may find myself choosing the dark side, FIFA... please Konami, dont let me do this and get your act together!

Summary: A good game but the series really needs an overhaul before it gets left behind...
