OCTOBER 2008, The eagerly awaited release of both PES and FIFA, the ongoing debate of which game is better and which will exceed or disappoint our expectations.
Pro Evolution Soccer had previously had a horrendous year with with thousands of disappointed fans complaining furiously and converting to the "dark side" otherwise known as FIFA. PES instantly had a lot of work to be done, I was personally one of those converted, I bought FIFA and refused to buy PES again as I was so disappointed in the previous year, however after the usual 2 months on FIFA it became boring and much to easy.
JANUARY 2009, I decided to buy PES, at first was reasonably disappointed it is very different to FIFA, however after bringing my skills back up to scratch I realised just how much more flexible and brilliant this game can be. There is a mental barrier of "this is rubbish" that you have to get through, one through you will reap the benfits, the Brilliant master league of which you can create players, teams and start from the bottom and work up.
JULY 2009, STILL very obsessed with Pro Evo and have the hunger to constantly play more, its realistic yet arcade feel is better than any football game that has ever been on the market, it is highly under rated (generally by people who haven't got through "the barrier" you cannot judge this game in a couple of days, you must work to gain technical ability and appreciate the gameplay.
I am not saying this game is perfect it still has a lot to work on, the offside rule is completely wrong, the goalkeepers can be awful and some of the referees decisions can be diabolical, HOWEVER doesn't this keep in line with real life, if anyone can tell me that the above problems doon't occur in the Premier League, La Ligua or the Seria A are lying and must be going straight to hell.
All in all you must be patient and you will enjoy this game.
PS - I almost forgot the Online Mode, it is improving however can still be very very annoying, I no longer play online as I broke 2 controllers, Ha an they definately aren't cheap, however every persons different, much bigger online community than last year, but still a lot of work to be done in this area of the game.
THANKS FOR LISTENING!!!!!
Summary: Brilliant, Technical and still very addictive
