I would definitely rate this as one of the best games for the PS3 and certainly one of the funniest.

This was my introduction to Ratchet and Clank. There are several games before this one, but it isn't important to have played those as the game has a nice introduction which makes everything simple to understand.

Ratchet and Clank is an excellent platform game which is all about the weapons. There is an interesting story, and some fantastic comedy moments, but no mistake it is about the weapons. As you start this game you have only a single weapon, but as you progress you amass an arsenal and level up and buy upgrades for each weapon, which is very much needed against the ever increasing number of enemies.

Sometimes you are literally dropped into an area with 20 enemies coming at you from all sides, and have to kill hundreds as wave after wave of them pour at you. Not to say that this game is difficult. There are various levels of difficulty you can select, and playing on easy is just that, so if you want to kick a lot of arse without breaking a sweat you can do this.

There are a few light puzzle moments to break up the action, along with some decent exploration and funny dialogue, so I would say this game is very well paced, giving enough time to catch your breath, before you are ready to go on to the next area and fight a small army of opponents with some of the craziest and sometimes most ridiculous weapons imagined.
