SR2: Blows GTA out of the water. (Saints Row 2 (PS3))

Advantages: Far more customization options.

Disadvantages: I can honestly not think of any.

I had very high expectations when i decided to get this game, i knew it would be something special and i was not at all disappointed, i was actually kind of surprised as to how much different and how much better this game is compared to the first, dont get me wrong, i was ultimately impressed by the first Saints Row which is why i wanted this but i dont think i could go back to play it now.

As everybody would expect, the only game that this is comparable to is GTA:IV, and i was a big fan of GTA and always have been, however, Saints Row 2 is ultimately an all round better and far more entertaining game. The twists and turns in the storyline are second to none and i've been gripped since the moment i turned it on, with a lot of new character introductions it makes the game a whole new experience whilst keeping the same sentimentality of the first Saints Row, with their being still characters from the first carried over to the second.

Customization has been concentrated on a lot more, with you being able to customize your crib, cars, character, your whole gangs style, the cars they drive, your tag etc. This aspect of the game is another thing that would make it appealing to most people.

Visually i was very impressed, although the graphics are more cartoony that GTA i find it has a better feel when it comes to things like shooting people in the head, with the violence graphics being better and the ragdoll effect being used with very good results. Another thing i found to be a good feature is the ability to hold somebody by the shoulder and use them as a human shield, whilst still being able to shoot at people, when you are finished with whoever you have hostage you can simply press the LT button and blow their brains out.

The new gangs are a lot smarter and attack you for the smallest things and this gives the storyline a lot more intricacy when it comes to doing missions and strongholds because you have interacted a lot more with the members of the gangs during the cinematics and cut scenes between activities, this gives you a lot more atmosphere and you have a better feel for what you're doing.

There are a few brand new cars that are just fantastic but ill leave it to you to find them, but trust me, they are BADASS! Instead of being given a certain crib you are able to go and buy your own from the choices on the map, which is pretty awesome because you can customize it however you want so no two cribs are the same.

The other aspects of the game are ones to be experienced so im going to leave you with this review and to make your mind up over whether you want to buy the game or not, but trust me, it is worth every penny!

Summary: Superb, Just Superb!
