INTRO:

This game followed on from skate (the first one) but with a lot more features. Skate was my favourite game but skate 2 hit me by suprise. I bought this game on the online store of game for 40 pounds which was a bit of a rip off but it was just out and i pre ordered it.

WHAT THE GAME IS ABOUT:

The game is basically about a man who was in skate, the first version of this and he gets put in jail (i forgot why) and he comes back to skate in skate 2. You can do missions or mini challenges which usally involve ramps which are really fun and the multiplayer mode is brilliant as you can play online and with a friend.

GOOD THINGS:

The ps3 version is blue ray and is crystal clear with amazing graphics and sound so the ps3 is the best. The story line of skate 2 is amazing and full of missions to play but is definatally harder as i completed skate but couldn't complete skate 2. The best part about skating games are the ramps you get to skate in my opinion and in skate you have to wait untill the end of the game to get big ramps but you get a big ramp on one of the first missions in skate 2. You can do multiplayer with friends (you need 2 controllers) or online but in skate online was very laggy and kept freezing but skate 2 is improved and enjoyable. This game is among my favourite games including gta iv, skate, skate 2, call of duty 4 modern warfare and call of duty 5 world at war (im not sure if it is actually 5 or just world at war there's different opinions). In the game you can actually get off your board so you can climb games which is really handy because in skate you had to skate around stairs, you couldn't go up them. And last but not least the motion sensors means you can control your skater without pressing any buttons and this is a ps3 feature only so im sorry xbox fans.

BAD THINGS:

There aren't many bad things in this game but a few basic ones which i will tell you. Sometimes the game freezes and did not do this in skate, only in skate 2. Blue ray discs are so expensive so i reccomend buying ps3 games from zavvi (now named head) because at 'head' there only around 7 pounds instead of 24-40 pounds. In skate 2 and skate the different parts of the story are missions in catogories and i can remember one of three catogories called thrasher but to stop you completing the game the thrasher missions disappear which gets on your nerves so you have to wait ages. Sometimes the motion sensor thing turns on and your player goes all over the place and you think its a game fault untill you realize how to turn it off.

This game is great and worth the price and the graphics are amazing. The rating is 16 but is not really that bad of a game, its rated 16 because the creator of the game had a sweary taste of music. Hope you enjoyed my review and this game.
