Better than Tony Hawk? (Skate (PS3))

After Tony Hawk had dominated the gaming world for skating games I was very happy when EA brought out Skate to put some pressure on the Tony Hawk series. However, after playing Tony Hawk: Proving Ground, I gave Skate a try. After playing the demo on the Playstation Store, I took a chance and brought the game. It is very enjoyable and I prefer it to Tony Hawk.

The graphics are very good but not the best as some of the games on the Playstation 3. The soundtrack is fun and the game has no framerate issues and runs very smooth. The free skate is very fun exploring the city for things to do.

The game feels very natural using the analogue stick to mimic moves in real life. This makes the game very fun and gives it a totally different element. You will skate around the free roaming map for ages trying to find the best place to skate and nail the perfect trick, you will be hooked!

The only thing I don't like about the game is when you fall off your skateboard you will be sent back to a spot away and you will then have to travel all the way back again.

Summary: A great game for anyone, and its really fun!
