A new skate game is just what this genre of sports games needs, and is a refreshing break from the old Tony Hawk games.
I really like the unique and innovative controls that this game offers and honestly it seems to fit the game a lot better than using buttons to ollie and do tricks. The flick-it controls let you use the right analogue stick to do tricks: the movement of the stick representing the movement of the feet on the board. Prodominatley, the buttons are used for grabs and to push off.

The graphics are awesome and really do testiment to the gameplay, the camera view your forced to use may get quite annoying as most of the view is blocked by your legs and skateboard. A nice touch, however, is the fact that everything you do is recorded and you can save the replays of your best tricks. You can also edit this and put it on skate real for the online communtiy to view.

Unfortunately, there are some down sides. A very tedious and boring aspect is the fact you are not able to get off your board. This means that you have skate your way to wherever you need to go. This is really annoying as most of the time you have to find your way to the top of stairsets if you want to skate them.

Overall this game is very good, but can get very annoying; a must-buy for the skateboard community.
