Spiderman was released after the movie the game is about Spiderman seeking revenge after his uncle was killed. All the missions in the game relate to what happened in the film it self so expect anything you saw on the movie in the game.
I thought the missions in this game were a little easy to complete. The missions were not too difficult in the game.Beating the bad guys in the game was quite easy as well as you could knock them down in a few shots easily in the game.
No matter which difficulty level I choose I always found the villians pretty easy to beat without any problems. For some that may be a good thing but for me I like games being a challenge to me and this one was not much of a challenge and pretty much straight forward.
The graphics in the game are alright but not the best, Sound in the game is not well done as Spiderman keeps on repeating him all the time in the game! It certainly gets annoying is all I can say!
For me it did not take long to finish the game because it was quite easy to finish. They could have improved the game if they added in some much tougher missions. The game would be perfect though for kids though as the missions are easy to complete and the game story is not too long either.
Overall it only took me less than a month to finish the game! Any one who likes Spiderman games then it is worth playing it other than that any one whose looking for a challenge and a game to finish this one maybe a little too easy for you to complete.
After really enjoying playing the preceding Spiderman game i jumped at the chance of getting this one when it came out. Having not even seen the film it was more of a mystery what was going to happen or even if it followed the film at all!? I was looking fowrad to trying a Spiderman game out on a next gen console as the ps2's game was incredibly good with the large cities and complex scenery.
The graphics are truly great, the city looks real and the sun glints off the buildings as you swing through. The enemies look realistic like in the films. It all has that sort of half cartoony half real twist to try and show the life of a superhero.
The games sound is very good with peter parker's voice sounding perfect. The daily bugle guys voice is great! really strong and stands out to me. The special sounds with the webbing and cut scenes are great too.
The gameplay is very similar to the other Spiderman game, simple combat attacks and combos can be used to defeat enemies. Swinging and jumping are also pretty simple one or two button activities, easy for anyone of any age to use. Spidey sense and slow mo for fighting and finding things are great add ins to the game.
The extra playable characters and moves you unlock just add to the longevity of the game. Play as Spiderman, dark Spidey or the new goblin as you go through the game. The game has over 40 missions on it which is a lot to be getting on with, with added races, bugle missions and tokens to find in the huge map this game will keep you going!
A great game for Spiderman lovers or people looking for a relaxing fun long lasting free roaming game. I'd say it can be enjoyed by all the family (even though its a 12, not sure why?!?)
I got this game not expecting much at all, not being a particular fan of spider man and not really enjoying the first 2 films. The reason why I got this game was due to the lack of other games on the ps3
The game started with a tutorial mission allowing you to get to grip with some of sider mans moves and skills, It brings you in slowly as there is a lot to learn. The tutorial voice is quite humorous taunting you and bigging himself up instead of you which was quite original.
The overall fighting and combat of the game is quick and faily easy, the only thing I didn't like about it was that you didn't really seem to select the moves you did they seemed a bit random, this could of been down to my spider senses though.
As you go through the game you unlock new features and skills which is a good way to do it as there is far to much to digest all at once.
I spent about the first half hour of the game zooming through the city from building to building and swinging round for fun instead of doing the missions.
When you actually stop messing around on the game there is plenty to get on with, selections of missions, challanges, fighting crime even taking photos for you job.
The game is quite darkside esspecialy with his other persona but also has a humourous side, the graphics are a mix of comic and gta but not as good as you may expect from a next gen console. I haven't seen the ps2 version but i can't imagine it being that different.
A good game none the less and one that looks like it would go quite in depth.
I wouldn't say this was one of best games for the console but deffinatly a decent game to keep in you collection even if your note a spider lover.
Based on Sony Pictures Entertainment's Columbia Pictures' feature film of the same name, Spider-Man 3 allows players to experience the actions of heroic red-suited Spider-Man and, for the first time ever, his darker, more mysterious black-suited persona. Set in a larger, dynamic, free-roaming New York City, the game gives players the freedom to choose their own gameplay experience through multiple movie-based and original storylines, fully integrated city missions and performance rewards including improved speed, combat manoeuvres and agility. In Spider-Man 3, players draw upon Spider-Man's completely revamped combat abilities as they protect the city and defeat nemeses using expanded aerial fighting, finishing moves and dynamic webbing during missions and epic boss battles.
