Advantages: Realistic environment - pick up virtually anything

Disadvantages: Poor Graphics

Star Wars: the Force Unleashed is a 3rd person action game on a variety of consoles.

Background/Story

The Force Unleashed is set between episodes 3 and 4 of the Star Wars saga. You play as the secret apprentice of Lord Vader - Starkiller. The general aim of the game is to complete the missions set by your master, or is it? *Spoiler* When Vader "kills" you, you are required to make some complex moral choices, resume your loyalty or rebel. *End Spoiler*

Gameplay

The Force Unleashed is a great way for people who hate Star Wars to like it. The game is set out in way witch immediately makes you feel comfortable. The controls are easy to master and allow you to unleash the force like never before in a Star Wars game. The game feels fluid, but at times it can be enraging when you take a wrong turn and end up where you started! The enemies in Force Unleashed are smart, if you walk in, they walk to the nearest turret or ATTE - which means all terrain tactical enforcer, or a big vehicle with big guns. To kill a basic enemy one or two hit will do, however there are some, harder folk in the game. The for example the republic have a suit which allows to wearer to become less vulnerable to attack, the basic wuss. When it comes to killing a boss the game decides to give them the same amount of health as you. Eventually when that health diminishes the buttons of your controller will appear, hit the right button at the right time, and you kill them with devastating awesomeness. Starkiller has two main weapons, his lightsaber and the force. However, by using the force you can turn almost any object into a weapon, by picking up a chair you have made yourself a projectile - throw it and hit someone, it is almost guaranteed that they will die.

Graphics

The Force Unleashed does not have amazing graphics, but it does not need it, the gameplay more than makes up for it. However, there are some scenes where the graphics are the centre of attention for example *spoiler* when Vader decides to stab you and throw you out of the window. *End Spoiler*.

Physics

Force Unleashed has amazing physics, the objects that Starkiller picks up with the force act like you would expect a real object to if thrown with so much force that it could break a reinforced window. If that reinforced window does break, the people and objects nearest will be sucked out by a vacuum so realistic that it makes your Dyson seem animated.

Sound

Star Wars: Force Unleashed will make excellent use of your surround sound system, if you have one, if not, don't worry it will still sound great. Lucas Arts have made excellent use of the sound effects they have available. When on a mission and your pilot is communicating with you, you feel as though the ear-piece is in your ear.

General Conclusion

Star Wars: Force Unleashed is a great buy for anyone, Star Wars or Trek fans alike. Overall I would recommend Force Unleashed to anyone looking for a game to play.

Summary: Great buy
