Advantages: Stunning graphics, diverse map and gameplay.

Oblivion is a single-player game in which you play the part of finding the unkown heir to the throne in the province of Cyrodiil. The previous emperor has been killed and so the gates of Oblivion were once again left open and they need too be closed. It is then up to you to find this heir to the throne and then once again close the gates of Oblivion.

Oblivion is probably the best game in many respects available for the PS3. From its launch it has caused a mass of popularity and for good reason too. When I first played on this game I was simply stunned by all that it had to offer.

Firstly the graphics are absolutly superb and they really add to the quality of the gameplay. The graphics help make the vast map come to life with realism. Just looking at imperial city from a far is umbelivable.

There is also literally hundreds of quests and side-quests available that make the game worthy of hours and hours of gameplay. The weapons available are also diverse and there is a wide variety of skills that can be improved. Being able to own houses in various cities, act as a burgalar at night, be a spell encharter at the magic guild is just amazing.

I would recommend buying the strategy guide with this game because there is simply so much to know and it really does improve the gameplay with details on the walkthroughs of quests.

Despite there being no multiplayer there is no doubt about the brilliance of this game and I cannot recommend it enough. It is possible to get this from as cheap as £15-£20 now which is a bargain.
