Advantages: Amazing flying, dogfights

Disadvantages: Single player missions

A very enjoyable game, let down by one thing. I love this game, the dogfights, the planes. You can messs about in free flight for ages messing about with plane skills, and personally, I have spent hours online in team dogfights. There are a number of diffrent ways to attack, and evade missiles, from dropping flares, to daring moves like flying towards the missile from a long distence, and just flying upwards. Even in single player, the game is amazing. There are some daring attacks you have to pull, and some really fun moments, like getting behind a elite flyer, and justkilling him in time. But the part of the game that lets the single player down, that makes it feel boring, is the ission objectives. Now I like a challenge in games, but this takes it to far, and it is not enjoyable. For one mission, you have to guide helicopter's throught a sam field, with planes closing in. Now the thing wrong with this, is that it is not fun. Some games would make this fun, but not this one. You now have to fly to planes 34000 feet away, where they attack you, and if on a harder setting, put up a really good fight. Or I can go and clear the sam field, and watch as my wingmen do no good attacking the planes. And there are more missions like that. Infact, most of the missions are like that. When I brought this game, I was expecting cutting edge dogfights, screaming inbetween buildings to kill tanks, not repetitive boring missions. But its still worth picking up, because the flying really is great, and the online is amazing.
