Advantages: good gameplay,

Disadvantages: arcade like

As there is no dedicated PS3 flight simulation software Tom Clancey's Hawx comes extremley close to filling that gap. The game has easy flowing menus and is very easy to navigate for a new player which is what you want because all you want to do is play the game.

There are two main modes to the game these being online mode and career mode. The online mode is pretty lame as there are hardly any players online at any one time and I think the only time I have played online is with a friend on an arcade battle.

The career mode revolves around a storyline which at times gets very confusing but is basically about a group of pilots that leave the military and form their own air force that is available to hire.

The graphics of the game are good but could be a little better in my opinion as this is one of the only flight sim games for the PS3. In comparison to Ace combat which was a firm favorite of mine of PS2, Hawx tries to fill the void, but falls a little short. The gameplay is a little bit arcade like, with settings which are at times a little unrealistic, however it is still a fun game and now the price has fallen would be an ideal addition to any game collection.

Well worth a purchase for the fun

Summary: good product for some fun
