Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (PS3)

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is the latest release in the legendary series of the Tony Hawks games! I like many others have been a fan of the Tony Hawks series right from the very beginning. I couldn't wait to try out this new release and I wasn't sure quite what to expect. It turns out that the style of gameplay in many ways is quite different which I really liked as it made the game far more interesting for me. I loved the Tony Hawk series on the Playstation 2 and couldn't wait for the next game to release on the Playstation 3. However, when it finally came I wasn't impressed and found Skate to be better. The gameplay isn't very good and the options available have decreased from the last game. The graphics are ok on a HDTV but they aren't very good compared to the best on the Playstation 3. The soundtrack it good but the framerate isn't very good. The game also frezzes at times. You will become a pro skater in the game and you have a few choices in which route to take. The next installment of the Tony Hawks series finally arrived back in November 2007 and I have to say right now that I am not a fan. The first games in this series were excellent, the game play was good and it was fun trying to complete all the objectives. Sadly the more recent games in the series have went way down hill. I think the problem is the creators, 'Neversoft', have moved away from the games roots.
