Advantages: Stunning single player, addictive multiplayer, perfectly paced.

Disadvantages: It has to end sometime.

Could quite possibly be the best PS3 game so far. Not only is single player so much better than the original, the multiplayer is a real surprise and has proved the doubters wrong.

As soon as you start the game, you're thrown into the deep end - teetering over the edge of a massive cliff, strapped into a train seat, bleeding heavily from your gut. It's another typical Nathan Drake adventure. The ascent up has your heart in your mouth as you scramble onto each pole/nook/anything you can grab onto. When you reach the top, it's not over because the train suddently begins to tear away from the cliff, leaving you to make a frantic dash to the other side before it disappears over the cliff face. What an introduction, and what a game.

I don't want to spoil any details, but there really are sections when you just stop and stare at the action unfolding before you. It's amazing, one section in particular has you on a moving train, moving through, or rather over and by the side of, the carriages before reaching your objective. The scenery is constantly changing, and so you never have the chance to watch as it goes by because you fail the mission.

Old faces return, as well as new ones, some liked, others not so much. The hunt for the Treasures will grab hold of you like an addiction as you strive for the Platinum trophy, and when you get the last one you're delighted with yourself. I know I was.

This was always a 5 star review. There's no negative point at all, apart from me not wanting it to finish. If you don't have this game, you're a mental case.

Summary: The number 1 reason to own a PS3.
