Just to warn you, this review contains spoilers, not ones that'll ruin it but it's a warning nonetheless. Okay, this game has been hailed as a 'must play' and I'd agree, for the most part. The game is beautiful, it really is, the scenery is lovely and it's one of those games that's a joy to play and makes wonder in awe at the designers ability to write a code that produces that array of beauty. The characters are likable and again well designed, when Nathan swims his clothes are noticeably wet, a nice touch that other games ignore. The gameplay is original and innovative. The lock on system with guns is good, and Nathan is a beast with any weapon, head shots become second nature, and he's not half bad an run and gunning either. The enemies are tough and plentiful, you have to think and use the scenery, which is destructible, to help you. The story is great all the way through until those (spoiler) crazy spanish demons turn up which, while the toughest, are totally unrealistic, which breaks away from the rest of the game. It seems weird to me that they show up and just stop the game short of mastery across all elements. Overall though, its worth buying, playing, and loving.
