Who doesn't want to be a Viking?! I didn't, but I bought this game anyway. It was cheap and I thought 'Why not?' It's one of those games I've seen on shelves, second hand, for ages and have always thought 'This is a sucky game' but as I like to base oppinions on experience, I thought I'd give it a shot. The game's look is a little too cartoon-like, with character models looking like characatures of themselves. All the humanoids are squat creatures, built like steroid junkies, and it's quite humourous for the first 20 minutes or so (5 minutes if you're not sad). It's a shame. Sega could have pulled a rabbit out of the bag with this one. At the base it's a solid slash'em'up, but without the delicacy or polish of, say, Heavenly Sword, and like so many other games out there it lacks that sense of an original and new idea. Story Story, what story? You will come to realise that the "story" is really not that important. But anyway. Basically you are Skarin, resurected by Freyja, a Norse Goddess, and are charged with saving the land of Asgard from an evil army of demons and the such like.
