"007 Racing" is a video game released for the Sony Playstation console in 2000 by Electronic Arts. It is a driving game based on the popular James Bond film series. In the United States, the game received a rating of "T" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for teenage years and above. In this title, players assume the role of an unknown character which is presumably James Bond. It is the player's objective to complete a set of missions while making use of an assortment of typical Bond gadgets and vehicles including the BMW 750 and Lotus Esprit. Each vehicle comes equipped with weapons and can be modified prior to playing through the ... Read the complete review

007 Racing has everything you would want in a James Bond racing game but it's not all that great. There's all the cool gadgets and all the best cars from the 19 James Bond films, including the car from The World Is Not Enough. You are James Bond and you must complete your missions using just your car and your gadgets. There are many different levels to complete and the gadgets include: -Missiles (Called Hellfire)-These are like normal rockets -Stinger missiles-These lock on to your target and follow them until they hit! -Smoke-If someone is behind you, use this smoke so they can't see -Oil-If soemone is on your trail use ... 007 Racing is a sound idea for a game - whatever their faults, Bond movies are usually a safe bet if it's non cerebral spills and thrills you're hankering for. If EA can distill the essence of all those high octane sequences of automobile related recklessness into one sexy little package, they can't lose, surely? And right enough, things start encouragingly with a nicely put together collage of various improbable Bond moments taken from the movies. Great presentation to pull you in, then, that palls even before you have a crack at the game yourself, once a demo starts up and you see the blurry, blocky, as-pedestrian-as-they-come graphics judder their ... At last you can step in to the shoes (and the car!) of the one and only Bond, James Bond in the new game from EA called "007 Racer" As the name suggests this is a break away from the other Bond games out there and a new twist on the traditional driving game. The game takes you through different levels each with their own mission that you must achieve before you can move on to the next. Of course being Bond your car is no ordinary machine, it has been heavily customised with a fine array af gadgetry from Q-Branch, including the classic oil slick, smoke screens, tyre shredders, machine guns, lasers.........the list goes on and on, there is enough there to ... The James Bond universe is perfect for the gaming world. Cool gadgets, burly action and impeccable style can make for some great gaming moments, as evidenced by the smash hit Goldeneye. But since then, most other Bond games have left something to be desired...this one included. Although the name implies it, 007 Racing isn't really a racer. The game plays more like Twisted Metal 2, with missions to accomplish rather than other cars to race. You'll be running all over town collecting weapons and battling it out with baddies. This game can quickly turn into a mosh, pitting armored cars against one another in the name of Her Majesty's Secret Service. ... Read the complete review
