The various levels have you traipsing around the world, murdering baddies, completing the occasional mission objective, and then retiring home for a rest. Tomorrow Never Dies is a truly baffling game that attempts to mooch off the success of the brilliant FPS Goldeneye by...not being an FPS! You'd think the critical acclaim and general fanfare around Goldeneye would be enough for the developers to stick with formula, but instead they have attempted a third-person effort to replicate the success of other similarly themed spy games like the brilliant Syphon Filter. Needless to say, the resulting game isn't so good. It was with Rareware that James Bond finally found a company who could produce a great game based on his likeness for the N64 in the game based on the film "Goldeneye" and whenever I heard that they had been dumped in favour of EA for the playstation version I must say I was more than concerned for the quality of game we were about to recieve. Should I have been? Well the answer is yes, not a catergoric yes but a yes none the less. They decided to drpo the 1st person shooter idea that was so wondefully done on the N64 and went for a more imaginitve 3rd person game introducing the opportunity to take Bond on the road in cars and stuff.
