Advantages: It's fun, Not to hard to play, reasonable price
Disadvantages: none
This game is taken from the movie A Bug’s Life. When I got the game I hadn’t seen the film so the little phrases were new to me and I found them quite amusing. In the game you play Flik who has to save the Ant colony from the Grasshoppers and you have to find tough bugs to help defend the Ant colony. There are 16 levels to this game all of which are all so different. In between each level you get a clip of the movie, which is cool. It has phrases also from the movie. It’s a 1player game only. Your tough bugs are Slim, Heimlich, Francis, Rosie, Dim, Gypsy, Manny and Tuck & Roll. Your enemies are Grasshopper, mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, spiders, mites, grubs, centipedes, wasp, armour plated beetles, dragonflies, earthworms, daddy long legs. There are 5 islands and on each island you must defeat a boss bug, they are Thumper, Bird, Thud The Horsefly, Molt, Hopper. Once you defeat Hopper you have won the game. You are able to pick things up and carry them around with you. You can throw berries. You can jump, spin, kick, bounce and swing from vines. You collect seeds and the plants that grow from them do amazing things: Make you invincible, help you fly, enhance your health, grow platforms for jumping. You can also collect seed tokens, which let you change the colour of a seed and what kind of plant it grows in to. Berries vary in power. You carry red berries with you all the time, which are the weakest berry. Red berries if you throw these at a grasshopper they laugh but it does make them mad. Blue berries are like a bomb when thrown at a bug as the bug just vanishes in to fin air. Green berries tracks down a target. Purple berries are just like the green berries but it’s more powerful than the green berry and files faster to the target. Grasshoppers aren’t smiling anymore after one of these hit them. Gold ber
ries are the most powerful berry. It explodes in to fire when thrown. To complete a level you don’t have to get all tokens and destroy all the enemies. You begin with 6 life’s and if you collect 50 seeds in any level that gives you full health. This game is for ages 3+. In all I thought this game was good fun and had excellent graphics and sound effects.
