Revier Oddworld: Abes Oddysee (PS): ... a long time since it was first released in 1997, I looked at oddworld and thought definately not a game for me, eventually as the years passed I thought I d give it a go at least, before condeming it out of hand. So I rented it, and it turns out I was wrong about Abe s Oddysee, it turns out it s a very addictive little game. After returning the rental I went out and bought a copy for myself. Welcome to Oddworld...

Revier Fighting Force (PS)
... Force was developed by Core Design all the way back in 1997 (god I feel old!!!). For it s time, the graphics were fairly good although by today s standards they are quite dated. The game received a lot of hype prior to it s release which always makes me hope to god that the game is strong enough to avoid becoming an anti climax. Thankfully FF lived up to the hype and was an incredibly addictive, easy to pick up & play kinds game. For those of you familiar with the brilliant streets of rage series on the mega drive will be familiar with the basic core of FF. Namely stroll around accruing weapons in which to stove in the heads of vicious young thugs. A simple...

Revier Syndicate Wars (PS)
... wars is another offering by Bullfrog, I only realised this fact when I was looking at the box while getting ready to write this review. This suprises me somewhat as it s not a game I would have readily assosciated with the usually humour laden, light hearted approach to vide game development that are synonymous with Bullfrog. Far from a cheery hospital or a super fun theme park, the content of Syndicate wars is much darker. Elements such as a compelling narrative, excellent gameplay and a superb atmosphere, Syndicate ...

Sam-Walker Final Fantasy VII (PS)
... it s release in 1997, Final Fantasy VII has become nothing short of a phenomenon, spawning numerous spin-off games, a CGI film, and an extremely dedicated fan base. Even over a decade after its release, it is often hailed as the greatest role-playing game (RPG) of all-time, and with good reason. Well-developed characters, an intriguing storyline and an epic soundtrack are expertly woven together to create a breath-taking and exciting gaming experience. As the game begins, the dramatic introduction drops you straight into the heart of the dystopian city of Midgar, fighting against a corrupt conglomerate known as Shinra whose influence extends across the planet....
