GRAPHICS: I'll tell you this right off the bat, this is the best version of Alien Trilogy when compared to its Saturn and PC counterparts. The Saturn version was good in essence, but did not share the graphical splendor of its PlayStation cousin. The graphics in AT aren't spectacular when compared to other games of the 1st person shooter genre, but it boasts awesome lighting and pyrographical effects. Where this game really lacks is in its character animations; there are barely any. The worst case is the human enemies, they are ridiculously stiff and have only about 4 frames of animation, one for shooting, two for walking, and one for being hit ... Read the complete review

Doom fans should enjoy this blaster as it uses a control system that is now very familiar for first person shooters. The protagonist (Ripley) is easy to control, although I thought that the left and right turning could have been made faster than it is, considering the high speed many of the aliens move at. Also, one key point to the second film was the motion trackers, that gave the marines one of their few advantages over the attacking hordes, but here it is virtually useless. By the time a blip comes up warning you of an approaching creature it is almost upon you anyway and generally already in sight. This is just another thing that ruins the possible tension building ... My favorite forms of entertainment are action movies and shoot-em-up video games. However, games based on good movies tend to be a let-down. A great movie is a tough act to follow. In the case of Alien Trilogy I just wasn't skeptical enough. Hey, it was only £20 and I loved the original movie. Basically Alien Trilogy is a cheezy shooting gallery game. It doesn’t follow the plot of the movie at all. I realize that it's slightly out of date (1996) but the graphics make Wolfenstein look good. AT really is a waste of time and money and I can’t believe that more people haven’t complained about it! They put in all these characters that were ... Read the complete review

Alien Trilogy was one of the first games I played on the Playstation and since then I has remained as one of my favourites. The shoot-em-up genre is getting a bit crowded but Alien Trilogy should be regarded as one of the original and best ones available. As the title says its all three Alien films put into as game in which the player takes control of Ripley in a first person view. You have to fight your way through each level past aliens and completing tasks on the way. Even though the mission objectives are simple they do just enough to bring a touch of strategy to the game. You shouldn't think that Alien Trilogy is like Die Hard Trilogy in that it is three ... Read the complete review

Alien Trilogy is the best shoot’em up game. There are three difficulty levels as I have found as I have completed it with it’s several levels with the aim of the game is to blast the aliens back into space with the game player as a human. Your sight is similar to the past famous beat’em up- ‘Doom’ but has the playerbility of Golden Eye. However the game isn’t realistic and is a bit cartoony but it’s great for a laugh if your on your own on a rainy day. (it’s a 1 player game). ... Read the complete review
