This tennis game shocked me quite a bit. When I first saw the review of it in a Playstation magazine I thought it would be sh*t. Then I got the demo of the game from a magazine put it in and played it. It was fantastic. Usually Tennis games on any console are rubbish but this brought new life into them.

It was a cartoon tennis game with the only real tennis player Anna Kournikova in it. I really enjoyed playing the demo but it only let you play with three of the layers and do 3 games. I wanted to buy it but I put it off for ages and forgot about it.

Then I was thinking of a game to buy and I found the demo of Anna Kournikova again and I thought to myself lets look around on the Internet to see if I could find it. I went to jungle.com and ordered it for £9.99 including VAT. It finally came 6 weeks later (look at my jungle op to see how rubbish they are).

The good thing about this game is that it doesn’t try to make it really realistic like other tennis games, its here just purely to be stupid with. The thing, which I find funny is that if you miss the ball and it hits you on the head, you full over its brilliant.

This games includes:

EXHIBITION – This is where you choose to play a single match of doubles or singles with up to four players. You choose the where you play, the type of ground and the players and go straight into a match.

TOURNAMENT – This is where you choose one player and go around playing tournaments. For each tournament you win, you unlock either a tennis racket or a player e.g. you can unlock the amazing pacman he is so funny!! You also get more points, which places you higher in the overall rankings. You can play doubles or single tournaments. There are four amateur tournaments to play in first or if you think you are good enough go onto the professional ones.

SMASH BLAST – This is the best part of the game it is so funny. This is only for 2 or 4 players, which i
s excellent because it is amazing with your mates. You play a normal game of tennis but the ball is a bomb and there is a time limit to how long the ball will go without exploding e.g. between 3 and 9 seconds. You choose 4 players each and hit the ball try to blow each other up. The explosions get bigger and bigger until they blow you up. It is great fun I love it.

PRACTICE – here you can practice serving of hitting the ball across the net. This option is very handy for beginners or if you want to improve your skills. here are the differnt types of practices:

SERVICE - You are on your own on the court and there is a 3D black circle on the court which you place. Then you serve the ball trying to hit that black cicle which plays the ball back to you. You have a maximum of 30 serves and at the end of those 30 balls you are told how well you have done. This is very handy if you want to practice your serves.

HITTING - There is a wall in front of you. You serve the ball to the wall and when it comes back you hit it. The idea of this is that you try to hit the wall as many times as you can without the ball bouncing twice. You only have 3 balls to practice with and when you have finished you can do it again. I found this very useful in helping me beat the computer.

When saving a game you can only save it as one character and I have not found out how to change from being one character in a tournament to being another.

There is one warning I have to give you about this game and that is: IT IS VERY ADDICTIVE. Once you start playing it you cannot stop and it is so much fun with your mates.

This opinion should help you because it is the only one on this game now, which means it is the best!!! If you do not have this game and think it, could be good fun go out and buy it, its only £10 and its well worth it.

I reccommend this game toeveryone of all ages. You might think its just for kids but i have seen man
y adults playing on this game round my house. It is definatly great value for £10. Another added bonus is that on some of the courts when you hit a person or something else it makes a sound which amuses me. So if you don't have it then you should order it off the internet becasue you'll find it very hard to find in a shop.
