Advantages: rallies, start up sequence
Disadvantages: serving is difficult, crap graphics, too easy
Don't be fooled into buying this game just because there's a cracking picture of Anna Kournikova on the box, you'll be sadly disappointed, apart from the start up sequence that's it. The cartoon graphics are simplistic and courts are annoying, following pre-set routines at the end of every point (e.g in the London tournament a red bus drives slowly past). In all this game reminds me too much of Super Tennis on the SNES and this is probably why I felt let down. Within five minutes of playing it I had worked out how to win every point, from then on it was boring. I didn't get very far with winning the different types of racquets, the tournaments took too long. The super hit shot is good if you can get it right, I found that it was a little tricky to time and lost interest after a while. If the makers could have got a license to include current tennis players in the game with different styles of play, it would have been much better. It's probably not worth any more than the ten pounds I paid for it. If you love tennis, it's adequate otherwise steer clear there are better and more satisfying playstation games about.

- 08/08/01 It can be severely bloody annoying at times (collision detection is occasionally a tad iffy), but particularly with 2 or more players it's a great game. Each to their own, though - good op. |

- 23/07/01 I can't believe we were playing the same game (in fact I've had to write an op myself to oppose this one)! Sorry you didn't enjoy it. |

- 10/07/01 I nearly had a heart attack when I saw that the intro page showed your review beginning "...thinking to see some crack...". My goodness. |
