In the beginning there was nothing. Then there were a few crappy electronic tennis games, followed by some platform nonsense. And then there was... Quake! Oh Quake, oh lovely Quake! On the PC and a few other unnecessary systems, Quake was responsible for redefining the whole world of video games with its ultimately controllable and physically real worlds. PSX Quake II is an essential game and equally as revolutionary - if you don't own it, you must - it's fantastic.
