It's possible to get a guide come up if you've failed a particular level more than once and then you can see easier exactly where the bubble is going to land and it's also possible to bounce a bubble off a wall or two to try and get it exactly where you want it to go. In this version of the game you can play singly to work through the levels against the clock and rack up a high...more

Premium Review Bust-A-Move 2 (PS): Can you bust-a-move 2? I can! (453 words)

Rating:

Bust-A-Move 2 for the playstation is one of the first games I remember playing as a young child and it's one that I still enjoy now at the age of 21! Inside the game case you will receive the disc itself plus a booklet with instructions on how to play the game, work the controls and details on Acclaim (the manufacturer of the game). Bust-A-Move itself is a game where you have to work through levels removing bubbles by firing out singulra bubbles to try and make groups of the same colour and then they will be eliminated from the board and fall down, taking any other colours with them that aren't attached to the walls of any of the levels. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A load of bubble bursting fun (334 words)
by - written on 04/12/00 (Very useful, 38 readings)
Rating:

Here's a simple one to get yor head around. Fire coloured bubbles at the roof of the playing area. get 3 or more the same colour and they burst earning you points and clearing the way. Any left hanging in mid-air after bursting some bubbles drop off giving you even more points from a chain reaction. If the buubles raech below a certain point at the bottom of the play area then you lose. Look away from the bright cartoony graphics, ignore the mad chicken noises and forget about the annoying animated characters in the background. This game is purely about simplistic puzzling fun. You can start playing it from the moment you pick up the joypad. There are a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bust-A-Move 2 (PS): Puzzle bobble!! (230 words)
by - written on 07/12/00 (Very useful, 41 readings)

When I was at Universtiy we used to constantly play an arcade game called 'puzzle bobble'. Imagine my delight when I found 'Bust a Moves 2' - the same game but for my beloved playstation. The basic idea of the game is so simple that everyone really can play this - all you do is fire coloured bubbles onto the screen, match three and they burst. This may not sound like the most fascinating game in playstation history but believe me it will keep you entertained for hours on end. The game can be played 1-player or 2-player, both are unbelievably addictive. There are several modes of play to choose from including puzzle (one player, series ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Can't...Stop..Playing (225 words)

Puzzle games will always have their place in the videogame industry, one of the biggest and best games ever made was Tetris for the original Gameboy, From there they came out iwth Dr Mario and then on the GameGear you had Columns, which also made it to the Megadrive. So Nintendo had Tetris, Sega had Columns. What would the Playstation try? A little puzzler named Bust-a-Move. This is the sequel to the first Bust-a-Move. A difficult game that plays like a combonation of the above two games. Graphics - Colourful if but blocky, but thats the point I suppose, the animation goes fast as the game gets harder and the overalll presenation is pretty good for a PSX ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bust-A-Move 2 (PS): bust a move (164 words)
by - written on 09/11/08 (Useful, 6 readings)
Rating:

Bust a move for me is the ultimate old school playstation game. Put simply the game screen has lots of different bubbles at the top of the screen and you have to knock them out, by joining them together in groups of three or more of the same colour by firing different bubbles at them one at a time. its a simple easy concept, but the bubbles drop down and the speed picks up, making it get harder and harder the more you play. the best thing about the game in my opinion is the two player feature, which allows you to play head to head on a friend with a split screen. groups of us would spend hours at my mates house playing this on two ...  Read the complete review
