I played the full demo last night and let me tell you my socks were knocked off so far - I doubt I will ever find them again. I will assume that if you are interested in buying this game that you have already played at least one of the Command and Conquer series. If not i would recommend that you do purely because although this is a very different game, some experience with the originals will not only help you understand some of the finer points of the game but also considerably increase your chances of being any good at it. Command and Conquer: Renegade is an above average game, with fairly decent graphics and sound, but nothing more than that. There are all of the usual C&C treats – you can jump into buggies and mammoth tanks and shoot the hell out of the enemy, but I found this slightly boring after a while as there is no real structure to the missions, the are all about killing a certain amount of soldiers and destroying buildings. I suppose this is the C&C theme, destroy the enemy. Whilst this is fine in a strategy game I think it’s a bit boring and mundane for a shooter. I’d recommend Medal of Honour: Allied Assault if you want a decent game with ...
