Civilization III is a fantastic strategy game that is complex but very addictive.

You take control of a choice of civilizations from the Romans to the Babylonians. The idea of the game is to build the best Civilization on the planet.

You do this by building cities on land. These cities allow you to build. You can build various things such as improvements for that individual city. These improvements have certain advantages for your Civilization. They can allow you to build more things, provide more money, better trade, more advancements in technology, better fighting units etc.

You can optimise each city by irrigating land and building roads from city to city. These roads can be used by your units. Units can be anything from settlers (allow you to build cities) to marines that can be used for battle. There are many different buildings and units you can create and you will get more through the game.

The idea of the game is to either conquer the planet by killing off all other civilizations or be the first to make it into space.

Its such an addictive brilliant game you have to try it.
