Hollywood has produced only a handful of great space combat epics. The star wars saga, obviously. Star Trek 2, perhaps. At a pinch, Independence Day. And of course Santa Claus Versus The Martins. However, the relative lack of classic space operas hasn’t stopped games designers from attempting to produce interactive epics of their own. Many have tried, but few have succeeded. Colony Wars: Red Sun is the third game in the Colony Wars series and like the first two it is a space based combat game, there are also a number of missions that take place on the surface of planets in this game.
