Advantages: Great Graphics, Huge Playability, High Depth

Disadvantages: Slightly Expensive

Fresh from other MMORGS (massively multiplayer online roleplaying games) I was slightly sceptical to whether this would be the same as others. However Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC) provides many unique features that have kept me playing for over 3 months.

You start off with a simple registration process so that you may play the game. This game can only be played on the internet with a registered account. After you have registered you choose a server and begin to get into the game.

You are firstly given a choice of 3 realms to which you will play in. Each realm is unique and has various races, weapons and advantages. After this choice you have a great many options in creating a character from there appearance to what they will use to kill enemies.

DAoc is set in the medieval times, just after King Arthurs death. The land is in turmoil and the realms are at war. Monsters have also appeared across the lands. As an adventurer you have the choice of fighting back the monsters or other players in realm vs realm combat. Each I have found highly enjoyable as it is great to work with a team or by yourself for various goals.

DAoc's graphics are superb and the game is usually fast, however it can be laggy during busy times.

Such a game does not come without payment and at $15 a month some may immediately be put off. However I can promise you that $15 comes to nothing for the enjoyment you will receive.

All in all I would suggest this game, even to those who are devoted follows of such games as Counterstrike or Anarchy Online.
