A bleak vision of the future of sport or an insiteful prediction on the path that society would appear to be treading? Whichever it is, Dead Ball Zone paints a pretty bleak picture. Two teams battle it out against each other in an arena where the punching, kicking, chainsawing(!) of an opponents is a perfectly legal move under the pretence of eventually getting a ball-like object into one of the goals at either end. Characters can pick up injuries and play less well or be injured to the point where they stand spilling their guts over the floor for you delectation. Pretty it isn't.
