Advantages: Follows movie storyline, New concept of stamina

Disadvantages: Bad AI, No Multiplayer, Shoddy Level Design

Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza is first-person shooter based on the 1988 Bruce Willis action movie of the same name. The storyline in the game is identical to the movie. John McClane, a brash New York cop, arrives at his wife's office building and relaxes (if I remember well, he wants to try to save their marriage) when she and her fellow employees are having a Christmas party celebrating the most successful year in the history of the company. Meanwhile, Grubber and his highly trained and armed terrorists are meticulously sealing off the building. You as McClane, you must explore forty floors of the high-rise building whilst "neutralizing" the terrorists and rescuing hostages.

Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza features 40 single-player levels-one on each floor of the building (about 10 hours of gameplay), missions are based on the film but also include many unique never-before-seen scenarios, inventory system that allows players to store weapons and devices, weapons include: M-60, Heckler & Koch HK P7M13, Beretta 92F-plus a CB radio, and McClain's police badge. But there's no multiplayer support. Sounds like the making for a great game...but it isn't. Well, the game attempts to add a couple of minor innovations to the standard FPS fare (like rescuing hostages, disarming bombs, etc) But the final result is rather frustrating. Puzzles are few and mindless, objectives only trying to extend re-created events from the movie which is less than two hours long and every time you complete a level or die (which happens very often), you're forced to wait forever while the game loads.

Honestly I did expect a more catchy game than this frustrating and very mediocre made shooter. I don't think anyone will want to spend £30 for this game, there are currently other more unique and interesting shooters. Don't waste your money buying this game, its not worth it.

Overall I would give this about 50%, if you really are thinking ab
out buying this product I urge you to try the demo first, to try and save you some money.
