Close your eyes. Go on, close them. Now. You didn’t did you. Why? Because you think I’ll never know? Because you’re above such childish behaviour? Because you want to read the opinion? Fine. Just don’t blame me when, despite my more then adequate description, the decaying shreds of your imagination fail you and my latest quirky introduction is again wasted. I’ve never reviewed a computer game before, so I’m relying on the pre-information inventive bit to win you over. Indulge me. Ok so you’re a solider, um, many years into the future. Obviously, the concepts of space-travel, hand-held nuclear ... Read the complete review

Welcome to Doom. You are a lone warrior, a hard man, a nutter really. You delve into the depths of hell battling all manner of weird beast. This first person shooter is the first of many titles. Although the game has limited controls and movement there is something about the game that makes it scary to play even to this day. Its not the graphics, its not the gore, its the sound effects. The game creates such a good atmosphere using sound effects that you really do hesitate before turning a corner. Grunts and other creepy noises come from all directions. There are many different monsters in the game ranging from pathetic to ... Read the complete review

It's DOOM! Your a marine. Monsters are after you, your up to your neck in them & you need weapons. So find them! Those aforementioned monsters are going to do their level best to not only stop you finding weapons (or health or anything useful) their also going to try and stop you completing each level. So show them how greatful you are by killing them, believe me it'll make you life that much easier in wandering around their domain (on Mars of all places!) if their dead and your alone. Pistols & Chainsaws won't help you (much) so find yourself a shotgun, or a chaingun which is even better. Get lucky & find a ... Read the complete review

DOOM. So good I wrote it in capitals. If you are unaware of doom, you have not played much in the way of computer games for 10 years or so. Which is fair enuff really. THE PLOT, THE DETAILS AND THE GAME. YOu are a soldier. You have heard all your buddies screaming in a science / military facility. YOu wander in to find out why. armed only with a vest and a pistol. For more detail read the other dooYoo op's ! The Game is old. The graphics show us that, but once you start playing it REALLY dosent matter. The sounds are still very good, as are the music choices. This game still stands up, Especially in two player. Two Player ... Read the complete review

Doom is one of the orginal first person shooters (FPS), released in 1993 by ID software. It was orginally released as shareware and downloaded by around 10 million users in two years. Doom was a revolutionary title for the gaming industry, and i'm sure many would agree when i say that it was groundbreaking in more th an one ways. It's 3D graphics, emmersive gameplay and networked multiplayer. I remember playing Doom on the Playstation 1 as a kid, and loved it. The simple gameplay made it immediately addictive. It started off on a reasonably easy level to get you started, but showed you everything you needed to know, the different enimies, different ... Read the complete review
