... think that this is a fairly good PS1 game, especially for its time, about 1998. You can play as one of 5 characters, or be a cop. Toca World Touring Cars (PS) ... going through a phase at the moment where im just going through and reviewing all my old PS games, this is another game i used to love playing, apart from formula one probably the best driving game made of its time, i really enjoyed this as it was the first time i d raced against so many cars, of course gran turismo was more developed but you would only be racing against 3, 4 or 5 cars, not 20 or so like in Toca, it also had the likes of pit lanes which sometimes needed used, and the tracks were brilliant. Over 20 tracks and 40 cars this game was awesome in its day, a really good game developed by codmasters, it was up there and competing with gran tursimo, the gamep... ATV Quad Power Racing (PS) ... is definitley somehting fun about ATVs, wether it s watching people crash them on Bravo TV or playing a video game with them in it, they re fast and out of control and that is definitley somewhat of a draw. ATV Quad Power Racing is a decent little effort. Theres a dozen tracks to play through which entertains for a while too. Graphics - Decent, especially for the time that this game was made, although the 3D blocky look can seem dated it stands up ok now. The detail on the racers are pretty good too. 6 out of 10 Gameplay - This a hard one to measure, while it s certainly fast and quite unpredictable it also has a controlled balance which is fun to keep playing, ea... Ray Tracers (PS) ... Tracers was another racing game for the PSX which was brought out at a budget price, in fact you can pick this up in any game store or on ebay second half for just a few pounds now. I gave it a bash after picking it up cheap and to be honest it s not the best. Although it s a quick and simple racing game ,it does very little to set it apart from other racers. Graphics - The cars themsleves look pretty good however it s the tracks that let this game down with a very blocky unrealistic look.
