The babes and the Pigs are just as fantastic as before, hard to kill, appearing everywhere in large numbers and some very realistic thank you's and appreciations from the babes. Although I did not count the actual levels of this game it certainly took me longer to complete than previous titles, leading me to believe that there are more levels and possible more complex kills to complete each level. This is definitely a very addictive game, the game contro...more

Crowned Review Duke Nukem Land Of The Babes (PS): I'm an @$$ kicker, not a switch flipper! (1380 words)

At one point in time, Duke Nukem was regarded as one of the hottest properties in gaming. Duke had his own Action Figure line, and at one point there was even talk of a movie based on him. When you think about it, the series came a long, long way from it’s roots in 2D Side Scrolling Shoot ‘em Ups back in the early 1990s. Those 2 titles were amusing enough little games, but never really did much to stand out from the crowd, and their PC-exclusive status left them out in the cold from the then heating-up console market. It wasn’t until 1996, after Doom had put the First Person Shooter (or FPS) that the Duke really became character known and loved by teenage boys the World ...  Read the complete review

Look out, that wise-cracking,alien-blasting,woman-chasing hero is back! The big Duke has his hands full saving Earth from those Pig Cops and their friends again in Land of the Babes. The game is vintage Nukem, with a story-line to boot. For those unfamiliar with the Duke Nukem series here's a quick recap. Duke first appeared on the PSX(actually he first appeared on the PC)in Total Meltdown. This was a FPS,much like Doom. Well,Doom with a healthy dose of attitude. Next came A Time to Kill, which saw the series change over to third person view(and the Tomb Raider comparisons began). Both games were filled with action,as well as Duke's rather colorful ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Duke Nukem Land Of The Babes (PS): a bit lame (296 words)

This has the same gameplay as "Time to kill" so if you don't know the game, have a look at the reviews there, There are about 7 reviews so no need for me to repeat their descriptions here. If you know the first game "time to kill" then you know this game. The plot is as foolish as before, this time its every adolescents fantasy of Duke being the only male left on earth, loads of babes left of course, and his task is to destroy pretty much everything thats isnt babe shaped. The game is divided into different missions, based upon finding things to collect, finding things to kill and finding exits from that level. Very similar to the 1st ...  Read the complete review

For all those, like myself, who have loved Duke Nukem for a very long time, its release onto DS was very welcome indeed. Land of the Babes runs with a very similar plot to previous Duke Nukem games, in other words not really much of a plot at all. The reaction times and random stalls within the games are still there though I feel that the graphics have greatly improved. The babes and the Pigs are just as fantastic as before, hard to kill, appearing everywhere in large numbers and some very realistic thank you's and appreciations from the babes.
