stephanieasmith Tomb Raider (PS): ... Raider was one of the first games to come out on the Playstation. It was created in 1996 as a computer game(like most of the first PS1 games were) and the makers of it, Eidos and Core, decided to put it out on the Playstation when it came out. I got this game off of Ebay for just a couple of dollars after shipping less than a year ago. The Story: You are Laura Croft, the famed archaeologist, and you have bee...

Napally Tomb Raider II (PS)
... unwritten rule about gaming is that sequels never quite live up to the expectations of their predecessors. People like to judge them on what happened in a different story and so often sequels are criticised harshly or don t get the reception they so rightfully deserve. This is not one of those games. Released in 1997 and following on from the success of Tomb Raider I, Tomb Raider II contained all of the features that marked it as such an innovative game but then expanded on them. The levels are even more expansive and impressive, there are even more enemies and Lara herself has been upgraded for this new game. The plot is that Ms Croft is on the trail of the Dagger...

Napally Tomb Raider (PS)
... opening theme at the loading screen to those pulse-raising beats that happen only when you are under attack, I cannot find fault with the music. On top of the music is the gun fire from Lara s trademark twin pistols and the occasional line of speech, as well as sound effects in certain areas. This is one of the strongest points of the game. However, one flaw of the game is the saving system. Eidos, what were you thinking? Positioned around the areas are save crystals but these are few and far between, and oh yes. They can only be used once. A plus side of this is that it makes the game challenging but it can be incredibly frustrating. I LOVE this game so much. It is...

briangilmour Tomb Raider (PS)
... orginial Tomb Raider was brought to us by Eidos Interactive in the late 1990 s and really took the world by storm, the sexy Lara Croft was cast in the role of a female action archeaologist in search of valuables hidden in all kinds of places, mostly old caves and tombs, hence the name. I got a hold of this a few weeks after it came out and I have to say I was well impressed. Yes nowdays it looks a little blocky but back then this was cutting edge graphics and guys actually thought this sprite was attractive, the graphics obviously had a lot of work put into them as did the areas that you as Lara explored throughout the game. The gameplay was good, easy enough to wal...
