Future Cop: L.A.P.D. (PS) ... are cop. In the future. You mobilise a futuristic crime-fighting vehicle that changes from a destructive, gun-toting machine on two legs into a hovering patrol car suitable for escaping quickly and avoiding mines. Just see what you think of that before you read on. The one player mode is a little short of an adventure. The entire idea of the game is very exploratory, as you burn your way through many industrial/futuristic city-like levels with multiple entertaining weapons, finding switches and items, rescuing hostages and basically annihilating anything that comes across your path. FIFA 2000 (PS) ... 2000 was actually the first FIFA game that I didn t buy, or at least have any aspirations to buy, since the series launched in 1994. After the death of the Sega Megadrive, my only medium of videogaming was my PC, for which I bought copies of Road to World Cup 98, World Cup 98, and FIFA 99, but there was something about FIFA 2000 that just didn t excite me. Possibly because I had now bought three games using the same engine, possibly because the marketing campaign seemed more eager to promote Robbie Williams involvement with the game(Why I ll never know), I don t know, but this game is easily the FIFA I have played the least, as I got a copy of 2001 free with a printe... Theme Hospital (PS) ... games didn’t need people killing other people, well unless you want to kill your patients then feel free to let them hit the ground and watch their angels fly up to heaven. Theme Hospital follows a very simple concept build a hospital, run it well, cure as many patients as possible, and make a profit (well it is an American style of hospital). The game has steady levels which progress each one giving you something new to contend with and increasing nicely in difficulty.
